Dress Code

The dress code for the conference is smart casual. Please note that venues can become cold at times so please bring a scarf or jacket just in case.

Event Registration

Upon arrival, please ensure you collect your name badge at the PHAA Conference Registration desk.

Delegates must wear their lanyard at all times during the conference.

Please refer to the program for open times. Note that the times will be in Adelaide time, i.e., in ACDT. Please make sure that you set your devices to this time accordingly.



Breaks

Arrival/Morning/Afternoon Tea & Coffee and Lunch will be served during the conference.

Dietary requirements

The venue will be notified of any dietary requirements delegates have provided during the online registration process.

If you have a dietary requirement and have not yet notified PHAA, please email events@phaa.net.au as soon as possible prior to the conference.

Payment

Payment is due within 14 days after date of registration.

If you have an outstanding payment, you will be required to complete the payment before attending the conference unless otherwise agreed with PHAA prior.


Speakers Slides

All presentations for the conference need to be uploaded via the PHAA event Dropbox the week prior to the conference commencement. A reminder email will be sent to presenters.

Conference App

We are pleased to be able to offer an Event App that can be used during the conference to view the agenda, abstracts and speakers for the Conference, as well as to contact each other. Information to download the app will be provided just before the conference.

Registration Changes

Cancellations, transfers, and registration type changes must be requested in writing to events@phaa.net.au

Transfers & Cancellations
  • Transfer of registration to another person - including purchased conference dinner tickets if applicable - is permitted at any time, however registrations cannot be used by more than one person.
  • Changes from a Face-to-Face to Plenary Hub registration, and vice-versa, are permitted.
  • Up to 60 days prior to the event: 100% refund
  • 60-30 days prior to the event: 50% refund
  • Within 30 days prior to the event: No refund available
Privacy

The Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) is committed to safeguarding your privacy online. Handling of your personal information will be in accordance with PHAA’s Privacy Policy.

Personal information you provide, will be used solely for the purpose of PHAA organising and delivering events, and will not be shared with third parties unaffiliated with the Event. Photography and recordings at the event may be used for future PHAA events and advocacy purposes only. 

The PHAA’s Privacy Policy outlines how we use, store and share personal information, and processes to allow users to access and amend their personal information held by PHAA.

Photgraphy & Recording

By attending the conference, you agree to the following:

I irrevocably authorise and grant PHAA the right to (where applicable):

  • use my name, voice biographic or other information concerning me for the purpose of the event, prior and post.
  • record me (picture and voice) on photographs, film and/or video tape, for audio and visual production [the Recording].
  • edit the Recording into a photo gallery / short film / webinar (which may include other recordings and material).
  • screen or place online (including on social media) the Recording.

I hereby release PHAA from any infringement or violation of personal and / or property rights of any sort whatsoever based upon the use of the Recording and photography.

I acknowledge that PHAA owns and shall own all rights, title and interest (including copyright) in the Recording and photos.

I further acknowledge that PHAA is not obliged to use the Recording or photos.

I warrant that I have full power to enter into this Release and that the terms of this Release do not in any way conflict with any existing commitment on my part.

I understand I will receive no monies for this Recording.

While under no obligation to do so, the PHAA will consider any reasonable request not to use or to stop using a particular video recording or photo. Such requests should be made in writing to PHAA Events Manager, events@phaa.net.au.

Please contact the PHAA Events Team, events@phaa.net.au upon registration and at least 48 hours before the event if you do not wish to grant PHAA these rights.

Disclaimer

PHAA endeavours to provide the best possible event experience for delegates and acknowledges there can be changes that are beyond the control of PHAA. PHAA does not accept responsibility for any costs or charges incurred by the delegate in the process of participating in the Event.

At the time of invitation to present and/or your registration, PHAA provided the most recent information available. Delegates and Presenters accept that the content and/or the delivery of the Event can change beyond the control of PHAA. PHAA will not take any responsibility for any errors, omissions and changes to the program or content of the Event.

The PHAA reserves the right to make changes as it deems necessary without penalty and in such situations no refunds, part refunds or alternative offers shall be made.

  1. PHAA reserves the right to update the Disclaimer and Terms and Conditions without notice to you.
  2. PHAA cannot control all content published or disseminated at the Event. You may find other delegates’ or participants’ communications, graphics, audio files or other information inappropriate, offensive, harmful, inaccurate, dishonest or misleading and/or deceptive, however you alone are solely responsible for your interaction with other delegates and agree to act responsibly and exercise caution, common sense and safety while in attendance at the Conference.
  3. PHAA, its directors, employees, servants, agents and affiliates shall not be liable for any losses, damages, liabilities, claims or expenses whatsoever arising out of or referrable to the event.
  4. By agreeing to speak at the Event, presenters agree that there will be no presentation fee.
  5. PHAA reserves the right to withdraw invitations to any presenters who fail to accept the presentation offer in the specified timeframe and anyone who implicates PHAA in any way that may lead to tangible and intangible damage to PHAA.
